Connecting community at last with webe broadband

We have exciting news to share! To some, Christmas may have just come early as webe is expanding to offer broadband service starting today!


Our journey began with us offering our mobile plan on 30 September 2016 -- the plan was a simple one with never-ending data, voice and SMS, and advocated our objective to offer a worry-free Internet experience to webe members. Since then, the community has urged us to expand our services so more and more people can enjoy connectivity at its best.


“webe is always about doing things differently and that’s what we’re doing now to cater the niche audience who are not able to have internet accessibility at home. Our new broadband plan differs from our mobile service plan because it is designed for multi-device usage such as through fixed wireless terminal, portable WiFi and tablets,” explained Lai Shu Wei, Chief Marketing Officer, webe.


So there we have it! We are extending our service capacity to provide broadband connectivity to members, specially made for users who want a LTE data connection for their devices at home, or on the go. 


Our primary focus has always been, and will always be, the user experience. As such, webe’s new broadband plan complements and strengthens TM Group’s suite of broadband offerings to consumers; and it is our aim to help connect Malaysians in the areas not reachable by TM broadband solutions, UniFi and Streamyx.


“webe is expanding its services to families and communities who have yet to be able to experience broadband or internet usage beyond their mobile phones. We believe that this broadband solution will answer the basic need of our members – good connectivity all around allowing them to enjoy any apps, contents or services they love on the Internet.

In sticking true to the webe proposition of being a community led brand, webe’s new broadband service offering is simple with no activation fee and no contract.


The postpaid service is priced at RM59 per month for 10GB data and is available in the form of a data SIM card. Members will enjoy internet connectivity with their supported devices (e.g. mobile tablet) to surf and share at home via Wi-Fi within webe’s LTE coverage areas in Malaysia.


What’s even better is for early birds who sign up during the launch period,  members will get to enjoy an additional 20GB data per month till the end of February 2017, and a waiver of RM50 one-time activation fee; however, the RM50 upfront fee is still applicable during sign-up. Each webe member can register for up to three webe broadband lines per account.


Upon successful registration, the broadband SIM card can be delivered to your doorstep, or members can choose to collect it at their preferred webe lounge at Sunway Pyramid, Selangor, Queensbay Mall, Penang or JBCC, Johor.


As TM Group’s Centre of Excellence for mobility, webe’s broadband plan definitely complements the broadband internet solutions currently offered, allowing all Malaysians to choose the right solution for their needs!
